  • Anthony Maggio, a J-School ‘03 alum, spoke to us about his career and how he’s accomplished his current achievements.

    • Applications are now being accepted for the 2011 Institute on Political Journalism at Georgetown University. This academic internship program provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fields of journalism and communications, while living in the nation’s capital.     • MN SPJ Presents Intern Night at KSTP, Wednesday Oct. 20th from 7-8:30pm. Email kbendell@kstp.com if you are interested in going, and she can reserve you a spot! Tours of KSTP are also available that night at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Email any questions to minnesota.spj@gmail.com
    • Investigative Journalist Edwin Black will speak on Thursday Oct. 7 at 9:30am in Murphy Hall Room 100.

    • More speakers are being lined up, including: a tv news producer, news director, and many more journalists. Plus, have a chance to tour the MN Daily offices when you come hear speaker Alan Bjerga!
